Les Tournesols
Les Tournesols is 5 bedroomed house sleeping up to 12 guests plus
infants. There are 3 double beds plus 7 singles (4 being bunk beds). There
is also a bed settee in the lounge. The house and all the grounds,
including the pool, are private; none of the facilities are shared.
The property is situated
between the attractive, historic town of Lucon, and Mareuil sur Lay, a
small rural town; it is just 20 minutes from wonderful beaches such as La
Tranche sur mer and Les Conches. Just 5 minutes walk from the village
of Corpe, the property is set well back from the road and has a very large
garden area and courtyard with large fields on the other three sides; it
is not isolated but is totally private. Corpe has a bar, tabac,
boulangerie, brocantes and a telephone box.

The single storey on the right of the photos is the
original farmhouse; it consists of a spacious lounge, a small fitted
kitchen and dining area.
Lounge furnishings include 2 three seater settees, a double futon,
satellite TV and video and DVD player. Next to this is the large games
room which has a pool table; there is also a fridge. The main bathroom,
with shower, wash basin and toilet, is situated here.

an additional separate toilet. In the central part of the house, which has
two storeys, there are 2 bedrooms downstairs, one a double and a single,
the other with a double. Upstairs, there is one double bedroom and one
with a single and bunk beds. The fifth bedroom is situated off the games
room; this has bunk beds and an ensuite. Cots and high chairs available.
Linen is provided.
The spacious kitchen at the back of the house has a double oven, hob, dish
washer, washing machine and fridge freezer. Off the kitchen there is an
extra shower room.. A door from the kitchen leads to a large sunny dining
room with a patio door opening out to the front of the house.

The property has a long drive with hedgerow and conifers demarcating one
side and a long grassy area in between the drive and the boundary, [good
for cricket and other ball games]. On the other side, the grassy area is
wider and interspersed with an array of fruit trees and shrubs.
On this
side, nearer the house, is the pool.
The secure 10 metre heated swimming pool is very private and for the exclusive use of
guests at Les Tournesols. It is enclosed and gated, with tiled surrounds
and a decked area.
The drive leads to a wide gravelled
area in front of the house, suit able for playing boules, with a paved
patio and garden furniture. It is all very private. |

There is a large purpose built BBQ near the pool. The pool is enclosed,
gated and the area around it is paved with a decked area. Sun loungers are
provided.

(negotiable
out of season). Prices in UK Pounds but Euros always welcome.
Changeover day Sunday.
